Resolution: In order to achieve a better quality print the image resolution must be minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch).
Uploading an image with lower resolution than 300 DPI will result in blurry and o-color print.
72 dpi are internet images for quick screen loads and will not print clear and crisp on a printing press.
Color: To ensure that the color mode of your artwork is CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black).
If you submit a non-CMYK file, converting any other types of color modes to CMYK will
result in color shift or color degradation.
Bleed and Cut Line: In order to cut your jobs in a proper manner, we need to have 0.25"
extended borders on each side of the image(s) even if your art work has white bordering around the images.
For example for 5x7 post card we recommend 5.25x7.25 inches for print production.
Safety zone: when designing your job, consider placing the text at least 0.25"
away from cutting marks (Crop marks) of each sides of the final cut size.
When sending an .eps or .pdf (Press Ready PDF) le, make sure you include crop
marks (as shown below) so we can cut the job correctly.
To achieve Rich Black, meaning a darker tone other than the mere black alone, one must mix solid black ink (100% K) with other CMY ink values.
By selecting to print with black alone (100% K), the print may result in a black not as dark as one may have desired.
On Screen After Printing
Depending on the black you want, you may opt for a black that is just 100% K. For a Rich black, we advise you to using C 60 M 40 Y 40 K 100
This will give you a deep, dark, rich black.
If you like to cancel a placed order, you must notify our CSR immediately before your order is processed through the system.
Automated nature of our process does not allow us to cancel any job that has been processed beyond the point of being sent to printing.
If the art work has not yet been plated, only 10% of the total sales order will be withheld in the refund process.
No refund will be issued to the services we have provided you such as Design services, Marketing information, Business consulting, etc.
We do not issue refunds once an order has been Plated or any process thereafter.
However, there are no additional charges if a request is made for a job to change status, such as turnaround time, quantity, shipping method etc,
only BEFORE A DIGITAL PROOF IS APPROVED BY YOU.
Yes. Creating an account will allow you to access product information and quick price calculator as well as other useful functions.
Also by keeping the track of all your orders in our data base, you will be able to access all of your previous orders,
current job status and, shipping information.
Artwork should be submitted at the final size plus 0.125 inches of bleed on each edge. For example, if the final size is intended to be 5 x 7 inches,
please submit the artwork at 5.25 x 7.25 inches.
And include a bleed area on your artwork even if it is white on all four edges.
Yes, you can change the artworks only before you have confirmed the PDF proof.

What color mode do you require?
All color mode must be in CMYK. If les are submitted in RGB, there will be a color shift or colors dropping out
however we try its best to check your le and x them accordingly.
Yes. There are two ways you may do this.
A) If you have individual files you may upload the different artworks by checking the "Multiple Artworks" check box.
This options appears after selecting any quantity higher than 1.
Depending on your quantity, you will be prompt to upload the same number of artworks.
If you have an specific amount of prints per artwork you may upload each artwork individually or upload only the different artworks.
B) If you have a Multipage PDF. Select you total quantity of items followed by checking the "Multiple Artwork" checkbox and also
the "Single Multipage PDF" checkbox.
In order to process your jobs accurately, we would suggest you place another order with the desirable changes to the order and
contacting our CSR to ensure that the undesired order is cancelled. However, if you contact us before your job is 'plated' we would be able to alter
the specifications on the job. Once the status is 'plated' no changes can be made.
Please note that depending on the change, price will vary and you will be responsible for the difference in cost.
Any changes made before the 'plated' status will have a minimum transaction fee of $5.00. No refund will be issued for the amount under $5.00.
Any changes made before the 'plated' status under the amount of $5.00 will be added to your account reward points.
For printed images, the resolution is 300 dpi. If your file or document is 72 dpi which made for the web,
you can not simply increase the resolution to a higher DPI. The final result of the image will still be blurry.
The best way to avoid this problem, your document size has to be 300 DPI for perfect final print results.
Signs4uPrint offers custom size for most of our products. If you choose custom size, it is important that you submit your files with a 0.25" bleed added to total size of the artwork.
For example, if you want to order a postcard with final dimensions of 9.25" x 12.25", please submit the file at 9.5" x 12.5".
Please add bleed to your document even if all the edges are white.
You can change the address of where your product will be shipped at any time before the order has been plated.
Any additional shipping charges will be charged to the card that made the original purchase.
If changing the shipping after the order has been plated a $10 handling fee will be incurred.
Bleeds are required in all artwork with an image that extends the trim edge of the product. Add a quarter inch (0.125") to each side to allow for cutting.
For example, for a 3.5" x 2" Business card with full bleed, the image size should be submitted at 3.75" x 2.25"
0.125" (1/8") on each edge of the card will be trimmed o during the cutting process. This will leave you a 3.5" x 2" standard Business cards.
Your type (text) should be 0.125" (1/8") inside the cut box on each side. This will guarantee your text to not be cut off form your artwork.
Vector = fonts/logos = ability to enlarge without losing quality |
|
Raster = photographs = great color detail, but can't enlarge without becoming blurry and losing quality. |

DIGITAL PRINTING |
PANTONE LETTER SUFFIX The letter sux refers to the paper stock on which it is printed: a "C" for coated or gloss paper, "U" for uncoated paper and an "M" for matte or dull paper. |
Our turnaround time is approximately 2-9 business days depending on type of the product you order and
the processes your order has to go through.
There are two entirely dierent medias: The monitor displays colors according to transmitted light in the RGB (red, green blue) gamut,
the paper displays colors according to the absorption & reection of light of CMYK colors (cyan, magenta, yellow and black).
While it is challenging to match colors to the monitors, we o er a process called Match Print prior to actual press.
It's time consuming and a costly process to be very exact. (We've never had an unsatisfactory client.)
The colors on your monitor are always more vibrant and has less contrast than the nal printed job.
There is a light source behind the monitor that diplays much brighter and vibrant colors.
Turnaround time starts once your order status is completely approved by you and our customer service.
FONTS IN ILLUSTRATOR Always outline fonts when sending Ai les (illustrator). FONTS IN PHOTOSHOP Any type would be best to setup in Illustrator or InDesign for best quality. Fonts created in photoshop will not clean and sharp. |
FONT SIZE |
BORDERS & TEXT
Aesthetically, it looks better when artwork is away from the edges. (Shown above)
Artwork looks unprofessional and sloppy when too close to the edge. (Shown top right)
We do not recommend borders. However, if necessary keep all borders well inside 1/4" around.
WHY IS IT RISKY TO HAVE BORDERS IN YOUR ARTWORK?
The reason most people use borders - It is very easy to add in any design software, and it looks good on the computer screen,
but when printed and cut, even a small shift (mechanical tolerances on cutter and press) can end up making the nished product look uneven.
So the best thing to do is avoid it as much as possible.
No, our turnaround time refers to the time that we process your order from our prepress to shipping department.
